Still recovering from Achilles tendonitis, Scott Larson, of Lake Stevens High School, battled Conner Frederickson, of Henry Jackson High School, in the district cross country meet held at South Whidbey High School on Nov. 1. "I'm just happy to still be running," Larson said. Larson and Frederickson will be competing at the state meet Nov. 8 in Pasco, Wash.

The game serves as a pre-season game to test where the team is at for the new season. "I'm excited for the season, we're gonna be really good," Duty said. "We have a lot of new faces this year so we're ready to win."
